Asad Shafiq also gets admission in KU

Discarded Test player Asad Shafiq also followed the footsteps of former Pakistan captain Muhammad Hafeez as he also got admission into Karachi University, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.
Like Hafeez, Asad also took admission into Karachi University's Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department.
Saud Shakeel and Sarfaraz Ahmed are already students in the same department.
The 37-year-old batsman has played 77 Test matches and represented Pakistan in 60 ODIs.
On Tuesday, Asad Shafiq met the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, along with the President of the Department, Prof. Dr. Basit Ansari.
Asad Shafiq vowed to show good performance in the field of education as well and termed knowledge as the greatest wealth.
Sheikh-ul-Jamia also expressed happiness over the increasing trend of higher education among national cricketers.
"The students of Karachi University will make full use of the experiences of national cricketers, and they will get the best opportunities to learn," said Asad Shafiq.
The University of Karachi provides fellowship facilities to sportspersons who have made the name of Pakistan famous internationally.
