Son of police killed in bid to hide grenade in Karachi

One person was killed in an explosion in Karachi metropolitan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Farooq Mirani, is the son of a sub-inspector and was carrying the grenade while walking on a street, DIG East Azfar said.

He added as soon as children someone noticed, Farhan tried to hide the grenade but it exploded killing him on the spot.

His father is suspended and an investigation is on, the DIG said.
