Man murders wife, torches body in Gujranwala

A man killed his wife and then set her body on fire over a domestic dispute in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Police said that Maryam and Sajid lived in a rented house in Dhariwal area of Luddyawala Warraich.

Giving further details, they said that both husband and wife often quarreled with each other.

Sajid first strangulated his wife with a wire and then in order to conceal his crime set fire to her body, and fled, they elaborated.

Police said that before fleeing, the man first informed his in-laws about his wife’s death.  

The body was shifted to hospital for the post-mortem while hunt was launched for the assassin.
