France to renovate Lahore Fort, other heritage

A French financial institution will provide funds to Pakistan for the renovation of Lahore Fort and other heritage buildings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the official sources, an agreement has been signed between the Pakistani government and the French financial institution under which the latter will provide 22 million euros for the renovation of Lahore Fort.
It is learnt that the provision of funds will aim at promoting tourism in the country. Besides Lahore Fort, other heritage buildings will also be renovated with the funds.
