PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has refuted his clash with the ‘neutrals’ saying the conflict will only weaken our country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to senior journalists in Zaman Park, Lahore on Friday, Imran Khan said that why should he fight with ‘neutrals’ as he did not cross any red line “I do not want to fight with my army. The fight will only weaken our country,” he added.
On the contacts with the PPP, the former premier denied any such development stating categorically that it’s better that he would sit in the opposition instead of joining hands with the Peoples Party.
“No backdoor contacts are going on with the help of any internal and foreign power,” he added.
Imran said that those who destroyed economy, they got Rs1,100 billion NRO.
“If government wants to arrest me, it can do so. I’m not afraid of arrest. If I held talks with ‘neutrals’, then my stance will be free and fair elections,” the PTI chief said adding that he could never make alliance with the thieves.
He said that without holding free and transparent election in the country, it would not come out of the crises.
He confessed that the biggest issue he faced during his reign was that the PTI government was being blackmailed by the smaller parties. Apart from Usman Buzdar, no other candidates for chief ministership were agreed on each other’s names. Aleem Khan and Pervaiz Elahi were not agreed on each other’s name, Imran said adding that he could not make a man the chief minister of the biggest province of the country who had been involved in loot.
