Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the condemnable act of terrorism in Canada revealed the growing Islamophobia in Western countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Islamophobia needs to be countered holistically by the international community,” he said in a tweet uploaded on Tuesday.

Imran Khan said he is saddened to learn of the killing of a Muslim Pakistani-origin Canadian family in London, Ontario.
Canadian PM horrified
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacting to the incident said, “To the Muslim community in London and to Muslims across the country, know that we stand with you. Islamophobia has no place in any of our communities. This hate is insidious and despicable - and it must stop.”

Justin Trudeau said that he was horrified by the news from London, Ontario. “To the loved ones of those who were terrorized by yesterday’s act of hatred, we are here for you. We are also here for the child who remains in hospital - our hearts go out to you, and you will be in our thoughts as you recover,” the Canadian PM said.
Justin Trudeau also spoke on the phone with the Mayor of London Ontario and Nawaz Tahir Managing Partner, London office, about the hateful and heinous attack.

“I let them know we’ll continue to use every tool we have to combat Islamophobia - and we’ll be here for those who are grieving. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi termed the incident terrorism as the family had no enmity against anyone and they were living in Canada for the last 10 years.
“We have highlighted at multiple forums that the trend of Islamophobia is rising,” Qureshi said.
He expressed his hope that the Canadian Prime Minister will make this terrorist incident exemplary and apprehend the perpetrators after complete inquiry. Qureshi also announced that he will talk to the Canadian High Commissioner about this incident.
The Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa, Canada has received the tragic news of the deaths of four persons of a Canadian family of Pakistani origin in London, Ontario.
“Initial reports indicate that the deceased persons were the target of a terrorist attack rooted in Islamophobia. The Pakistan High Commission has requested both the provincial and the federal governments for facts of the case and called for stern action against the perpetrator(s),” the statement reads.
Upon instruction of the High Commissioner of Pakistan, Consul General Toronto is visiting London Ontario today (Tuesday) to offer condolences and all possible support on behalf of the Government of Pakistan.
The Pakistan High Commission also offered its deepest condolences to the family of the victims.
