Driver slits throat of renowned dermatologist in Hyderabad

A renowned dermatologist (skin specialist) was stabbed to death by his driver after a verbal brawl over some issue in Hyderabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The accused escaped from the scene after committing the crime. Sindh Minister for Minority Affairs Gianchand Essarani has taken notice of the incident.
While condemning the incident, the minister talked to SSP Hyderabad Amjad Sheikh over the phone and asked him to immediately arrest the culprit behind the killing of Dr Dharam Dev Rathi.
He said on the occasion of the Holi festival, the murder of a peaceful citizen was shocking.
SSP Hyderabad Amjad Sheikh told the minority affairs minister that while on his way to home, Dr Dharam Dev Rathi had some arguments with his driver Hanif Leghari. As they reached home, the driver brought a knife from the home and slit the throat of the doctor which resulted in his killing, the SSP added. He said the driver escaped from the scene on Dr Dharam Dev’s car.
Police have set up pickets and snap checking to nab the accused. Meanwhile, the police have also raided the home of the driver in his village. The SSP said that the accused will soon be apprehended and brought to justice.
Separately in Larkana, two people were killed when two groups of Jatoi clan started firing on each other over match making issue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The dead were identified as Der Muhammad Jatoi and Kashif Jatoi. The dead bodies were shifted to emergency ward of the Chanka Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The firing between two groups was still ongoing.
