MPA on reserved seats take oath amids raucous protest of SIC in PA

Newly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) on reserved seats took oath amids raucous protest of opposition members of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) in Punjab Assembly session on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab Assembly's Friday session started with a delay of one hour and 29 minutes under the chairmanship of Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan.
The Speaker told the MPA protesting in front of his dais to go back and sit on thier seats to run the assembly bussiness smoothly but the opposition members continued their protest against the oath.
In the Punjab Assembly session, 21 women and three minority members took oath on reserved seats.
Sadia Muzaffar, Faza Maimuna, Abida Bushra, Maqsoodun Bibi, Amara Khan, Soumia Atta, Rahat Afza, Rukhsana Shafiq, Tahseen Fawad, Farzana Abbas, Shaughta Faisal, Uzmi Butt, Maria Talal, Sajda Naveed, Nasreen Riaz, Afshan Hasan, Amna Parveen, Shahr Bano, Zeba Ghafoor, Rubina Nazir, and Syeda Samira Ahmed are also among the women who took oath on reserved seats for women in Punjab Assembly.
Minority members include Tariq Masih, Wasim Anjum, Basruji also took oath on the reserved seats for minorities in Punjab Assembly on Friday.


When the elected members on the reserved seats have taken their oath, the Speaker adjourned the Punjab Assembly session for 5 minutes due to uproar of the opposition benches.
