FC major, five soldiers martyred in Balochistan landmine blast

A major of the FC South Balochistan and five soldiers were martyred in a landmine blast in a rugged mountainous region of Balochistan on Friday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army.
FC Major Nadeem Abbas, Naik Jamshaid, Lance Naik Taimur and Khizar Hayat and soldiers Sajid and Nadeem were martyred when their vehicle was blown up by a remote-controlled explosive device. The security personnel’s vehicle was targeted in the Buleda area of Kech, 14 kilometres from Pakistan-Iran border. The officer and the soldiers were returning from Buleda after checking possible routes used by terrorists in mountainous region of Makran when they were targeted.
Major Nadeem Abbas belongs to Hafizabad, Jamshaid is from Taunsa Sharif, Khizar Hayat from Attock, Sajid from Mardan and Nadeem from Taunsa Sharif. The ISPR director general said that another soldier was injured in the attack.
President Arif Alvi condemned the attack on the security personnel and offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs. He said that sacrifices of the martyrs would not go waste.
Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned the attack on security personnel in Balochistan’s Kech District and offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs.
JUI-F President Fazlur Rehman condemned the attack on the FC personnel and prayed for their souls. He said that such terrorist attacks could not deter the Pakistan Army.
