After chicken, prices of beef and mutton are also out of the reach of Lahoriites as butchers have raised the rates on their own with no checks from the authorities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The official rate of mutton is Rs900 per kilogram but it is being sold up to Rs1,500 against the official price list.
