Pakistani cricket legend Wasim Akram has always vouched for diminishing the spread of pollution and this time he turned to his social media to applaud British High Commissioner Christian Turner for a noteworthy act of eradicating filth and litter.
Christian Turner is rather fond of taking morning walks in the enchanting Margalla Hills located in Islamabad.
However one would assume that the reason behind taking early morning walks in Margalla Hills would be to devour its beauty and revel in the magnificent scenery, which here is not the case.
Christian went for a walk and returned with two massive bags containing litter and garbage which he collected during his extensive walk.
After an escapade of collecting litter from Margalla Christian tweeted his accomplishment on his Twitter account:
“Another Friday morning walk, another two bags of litter. Safaai nisf imaan hai [cleanliness is half of faith],” Christian wrote.
Wasim Akram was highly moved by this unselfish act of spreading the message for a cleaner nation and decided to appreciate Christian Turner on his Twitter handle.
Akram wrote, “Now this is really embarrassing. Where are we heading? And thanks Mr Turner for doing this almost every week”.
Wasim Akram is tremendously aggravated over how we are so involved in spreading litter and trash and he finds this embarrassing.
He also is immensely impressed with Mr Turner for taking part in cleaning trash almost every week.
