Keep shady characters like Shaheen Sehbai off limits

Shaheen Sehbai has written another twisted article titled "Why Imran Khan should be eliminated"?

His article is being circulated on various websites. Sehbai has been working on the agenda of western powers from the time when he was editor of Dawn News. He kept this portfolio for over a year when he shifted to Washington. All his articles are dictated by his paymasters and he craftily mixes truth with falsehood.

For example, he wrongly quoted Gen Zia stating, 'either it was his or Bhutto's grave'. It was Khan Wali Khan who had told him, whether jokingly or seriously.

He has written rubbish about the incumbent army chief. He has teamed up with those who are constantly provoking and inciting the public against the army and the junior ranks in the army against the senior army leadership and painting a gloomy future of Pakistan. He is getting counted as an army basher by suggesting that the day is not far when a segment of the army, police and other law enforcement agencies would revolt and the army officers would have no place to hide.  

Like other detractors, he too wishes that Pakistan becomes ungovernable and gets engulfed in a civil war and gets dismembered.

This is exactly what the enemies of Pakistan have planned since 2001, and Gen Asim has vowed to thwart the ulterior designs of external and internal players with a firm hand.

To inject hatred into the minds of the people, particularly IK lovers, he is wickedly suggesting that the military establishment would kill IK. His intentions are to shield the actual assassins planning to bump him off so as to spark countrywide violent protests leading to possible military takeover.

In the face of intense political polarization and hatred, the suggestion of holding elections simultaneously without normal campaigning and rallies is termed as ridiculous by him.

He makes no mention of the biased attitude of the supreme court, its extraordinary softness towards IK, about dozens of cases pending against IK and the distinct possibility of his disqualification, of the cracks within the PTI, of the series of blunders committed by IK during and after his misrule.

He feels sorry for IK for being forced to appear before the courts under the protective care of his tigers and covered by bullet proof shields. He is of the view that the revengeful establishment is causing pain to him. He says flimsy and bogus cases have been framed against IK.

Another ridiculous lie being floated is that Gen Asim had a red face and couldn't answer an offensive question from a serving Brig in a Darbar about the arrest of Lt Gen retd Amjad Shoaib and that the latter was promptly released. He suggests that neither the juniors nor the international leaders listen to Gen Asim.

For his information, Gen Asim has pledged to take the rumour mongers and evildoers spreading venom in social media to task. He has managed loans from KSA, UAE and China for which the PM felicitated him. He is slowly and steadily forming his team and waiting for Gen Bajwa loyalists to retire by Sept this year. Already he has placed his confidantes at key appointments and things are in his firm grip. He is achieving results against terrorism and playing his cards prudently and dexterously.

Such-like shady characters must be kept off limits rather than encouraged and quoted.
