The government Tuesday put a ban on the protesting civil servants that they would not be allowed to go beyond Parliament House, Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The government took the decision in the wake of an ongoing sit-in protest by government employees in front of the parliament house.
The situation has been aggravated when the protesters tried to go to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. In the meantime, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa happened to visit Shahra-e-Dastoor. He expressed his anguish over the mismanagement of the administration and the mess created by the protesters.
The administration while taking stern action against the protesters thwarted their attempt to approach the apex court. The police also removed all vehicles parked at the Shahra-e-Dastoor Islamabad and vowed that any attempt to go to the Supreme Court would be frustrated in any case.
The federal government employees are protesting for increasing their salaries in Islamabad. They are also calling the government for a 100 percent increase in house rent, and medical and conveyance allowances. They are also demanding the upgradation of federal government employees on the pattern of provincial government employees as per the February 11, 2021 government agreement and recommendations of the Establishment Division.
