In response to ongoing supply chain disruptions, Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HACL) has extended the shutdown of its plant by an additional two days, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
HACL initially suspended its production activities from October 24th to 31st, citing low inventory levels and parts shortages as the primary reasons for the temporary halt in operations.
On October 30, the company further extended the plant shutdown for an entire week, spanning from November 1st to November 7th.
Now, HACL has announced an additional extension, keeping the car plant closed on November 8th and 9th.
The company stated that the supply chain disruptions, stemming from low inventory levels and parts shortages, remain a significant challenge.
The notification of the extended shutdown was communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange via a formal letter, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
