Lunatic slaughters eight homeless people in Narang Mandi

Eight seemingly homeless people were found murdered on roads in Hichhar village of frontier area of Narang Mandi in Sheikhupura, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Sheikhupura DPO Faisal Mukhtar said that it seemed that a fanatic man slaughtered eight people sleeping on the streets and in Deras (outhouses) at different places of the village with the help of a sharp-edged weapon. 

The Narang Mandi police reached the place of incident and arrested an accused, identified as Faizur Rasool son of Ijaz Ahmad.

According to the police, the accused seems to be mentally ill. However, the police are investigating the incident from all angles. 

Among the slain, two persons have been identified whose names were: Dilawar and Asad. They were residents of Hichhar village and were 22 and 24 years old. 

The police have taken all the dead bodies into their custody and are shifting the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.

IGP Punjab has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from RPO Sheikhupura.
