PTI MNA Ahmad Deharr says party dissidents are ‘real’ PTI

October 8, 2022 03:10 PM

PTI’s ‘estranged’ member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ahmed Hussain Deharr on Saturday claimed that the act of distancing of some of the party members from former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on the issue of US cypher showed that the party’s dissidents were the ‘real’ PTI, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to 24News, he said the reason for his differences with the former prime minister was that the latter’s narrative on the cypher was ‘false’. “Those who played with the country have now been exposed,” he claimed.

He went on to say that he had no regrets that he parted his ways with Imran prior to voting on the no-confidence motion against the PTI government in April 2022. “Today the nation should pat on our back that we dissociated ourselves from those who played with the country’s security,” Deharr boasted.

PTI dissident from Multan also accused Imran of stalling work on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). “How can we side with the people who are against such projects?” he questioned.
