PTI MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz, 85 workers arrested in Sahiwal

At least 86 protesting leaders and workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were arrested by Sahiwal police on Sunday.
Police arrested MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz, Rana Jawad Advocate and Rana Mubashar among others and locked them up in different police stations. Rai Hassan Nawaz and 18 others have been named in the FIR number 1544/24 registered with the Cantonment Police Station.
Around 80 other unknown workers too have been booked on charges of blocking roads and clashing with the police despite a ban on public gatherings in the province under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
