World Bank delegation meets Ishaq Dar

A World Bank delegation Saturday met Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel.  

The delegation was led by Najy Benhassine who is the Country Director for Pakistan for the South Asia region at the World Bank Group.

Najy Benhassine informed the minister that the World Bank is providing Pakistan a $2 billion loan for the rehabilitation of people and infrastructure affected by the devastating floods on an emergency basis.

Najy Benhassine further informed him that around $1.5 billion in funds would be mobilised this year due to an emergency situation.

The Finance Minister briefed the delegation on the flood disaster in Pakistan and expressed gratitude to the bank for flood support.

He also informed the delegation about the economic policies of the government.

Ishaq Dar said that the World Bank is our key partner in development.
