Shah Mehmood Qureshi says govt trying to dent judiciary

PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has urged PTI workers, who stand with PTI's ideology, arrived at the rally, adding that on February 8, nation took the right decisions despite all odds, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media in court premises, Qureshi said the government was trying to bulldoze parliament with judicial package and a bill to increase the number of apex court judges.

PTI leader demanded that both sides of the bills should be shown to the masses.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi demanded that judiciary should not be made weak. He advised the government to note that today PTI is in trouble and tomorrow this government’s leaders will be in the same condition.

He urged the lawyers community top stand up against injustices.

To a question about the silence of PTI Punjab chief Ch Pervez Elahi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said he and Ch Pervez Elahi remained to gather in Adiala jail. He has serious health issues now a days.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said if he was man of the establishment, then he would not have been in jail.

He said a malicious campaign was launched against him in the party ranks but still he remained in the core committee of the party. He asked the journalist to question from Imran Khan how many members of PTI core committee are now with Imran Khan.

To a questioned that DG ISPR says Army is apolitical, Qureshi replied that it is hard to prove the statement of the ISPR official.
