PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has taken a jibe at Prime Minister Imran Khan for what she called crying for staying in power, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Friday.

Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter and share her reaction to the premier public address.

“This is the first time I have seen someone crying for power like this,” she tweeted.

The premier wants to prolong his premiership but the people-hit hard by the poor performance of his incompetent team are observing thanksgiving days, the daughter of the ex-premier said.

She slammed Imran for heaping praise on Indian democracy, saying:  “There were 27 no-confidence motions against the various prime ministers who were reciting the anthems of India.

"No one has played with the constitution, democracy, and ethics. Vajpayee lost by one vote, went home - did not take the country, constitution and nation hostage like you.”
