A big difference between the two National Security Council meetings held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former Premier Imran Khan has exposed two different ideologies of anarchy and integrity.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the National Security Council (NSC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister in which military brass also participated and review the security situation in detail.
In the NSC meeting chaired by PM Shehbaz Sharif, the role of Pakistan's security agencies was appreciated as well as the non-political role of the forces was also appreciated on this occasion.
On the other hand, the NSC meeting held exactly one year ago under the chairmanship of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Imran Khan as former premier opened Pandora's Box against the military leadership and made it controversial.
The NSC forum was used by former Prime Minister Imran Khan to reinforce his political narrative and used the declaration of the council to vilify the former military leadership.
Now, a valuable question has been raised can Imran Khan guarantee to avoid such a serious mistake again?
