In a historic first for marine wildlife observation in Gadani, Balochistan, a rare giant black whale has been sighted alive along the coastal region, mesmerizing onlookers, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

The breathtaking sighting unfolded approximately two to three kilometers off the Gadani coast, where observers witnessed the rare majestic creature gracefully navigating the open sea.

The fishermen, present at the Gaddani beach on the occasion, made a video of the fish. Measuring an estimated length of up to 100 feet and a width of around 50 feet, with a staggering weight surpassing 150 tonnes, this extraordinary black whale belongs to a species rarely encountered in marine environments.

This remarkable event marks a significant milestone in Gadani's history, being the first time, such a colossal live whale has been witnessed in the area. This occurrence stands in stark contrast to past incidents where deceased whales were discovered stranded along various Balochistan beaches.

Local fishermen, awed by the sighting, expressed optimism about the presence of the whale near the shore, considering it a sign of good luck for their endeavors at sea.

The black whale holds the distinction of being one of the largest species of whales in marine life, characterized by its rarity and immense size, which can range from 10 tons to a staggering 200 tons.

However, while the region has increasingly become a breeding ground for aquatic biodiversity, it faces threats from illegal trawler activities that disrupt the delicate ecosystem and endanger rare species.

Local fishermen, captivated by the sighting, have expressed optimism about the presence of the whale near the shore, interpreting it as a positive omen for their maritime pursuits.
