PTI MNA Haji Imtiaz rearrested at Multan Airport while trying to flee to Qatar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry has been re-arrested at Multan airport while attempting to flee to Qatar on Thursday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Haji Imtiaz, who is wanted by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Gujranwala on corruption charges, was taken into custody before he could leave the country.
Last month, on July 25, Haji Imtiaz was initially arrested in Mandi Bahauddin after travelling from Islamabad to his constituency.
Haji Imtiaz was elected from Mandi Bahauddin's National Assembly constituency NA-68, securing 166,093 votes against his opponent Mushahid Raza of PML-N, who received 70,926 votes.
Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed Ranjha (64-year-old) is the son of Chaudhry Sultan Ahmed. He is an agriculturist and a long-serving politician, having been a member of the District Council multiple times and a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Punjab from 1997 to 1999.
He has also served as Senior Vice President of PTI, Chairman of the Public Complaint Bureau under former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, and as a political advisor to the Prime Minister from May 2012 to March 2013.
During his tenure as an MPA, he significantly contributed to the education sector by promoting girls' schools and colleges in Mandi Bahauddin.
