Senator Irfan Siddiqui quits Senate Committee on Education, joins Committee on Health

PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui on Thursday resigned as a member of the Senate Standing Committee on Education and has become a member of the Senate Committee on Health, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui on Thursday met Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and told that he will now serve as a member of the Standing Committee on Health.
He served as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Education from March 2021 to March 2024.
While the member of the National Health Committee, Senator Rahat Jamali of PML-N has been included in the Standing Committee on Education.
It is pertinent to mention that during the meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Education, bitterness arose when the chairperson of the committee, Senator Bushra Najam Butt, stopped the parliamentary leader of PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui, from speaking and allowed the secretary of the committee to speak.
On this PTI Senator Fauzia Arshad and MQM Senator Khalida Ateeb strongly protested and asked the Chairperson to apologize to Irfan Siddiqui.
Talking to 24 News, Senator Bushra Anjum said that Irfan Siddiqui was senior leader of PML-N and she had apologized to him. She said PTI's Falk Naz and Fauzia Arshad fueled the issue. She said education committee has done excellent work for the education system in a period of three months.
