Stage actress Iqra shot, injured in Lahore

A stage actress was shot and injured in Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Stage actress Iqra went out of her house in Sabzazar locality with her brother-in-law (husband’s brother) Samran Shahzad on a motorbike to buy some breakfast when the attackers fired shots at her. 

Police said the attackers were four and they were riding two motorcycles. They said the actress has received bullet in her leg. The injured stage actress was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

Injured Iqra told police that she had a contract with Sanam Theatre owner Malik Naseer and when she decided not to act in the stage drama he started to issue threats to her.

She said today Malik Naseer along with his three unidentified accomplices attacked her. 

Police said Malik Naseer has succeeded in escaping from the attack scene. However, police are making efforts for his arrest.
