PM calls for enduring fraternal ties with Bahrain

Extends Eid greetings to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday called King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain and exchanged greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The prime minister held a telephonic conversation with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and exchanged Eid greetings with him. He reaffirmed longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Bahrain.

During his talk with the Bahrain King, PM Shehbaz said that close ties provided significant opportunities for deeper bilateral cooperation in diverse areas, in particular promotion of bilateral trade and investment.

He also conveyed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Reciprocating the warm Eid greetings from the prime minister, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa extended best wishes to the people of Pakistan on this occasion. 

He expressed his resolve to broaden mutual cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries. 

Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy long-standing cordial relations, rooted firmly in shared faith, mutual understanding and commonality of interests.

 PM wishes Eid Mubarak to overseas Pakistanis 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended Eid greetings to the Muslims across the world and overseas Pakistanis who are celebrating Eid today. 

In a Twitter message, the PM wrote: “Happy Eidul Azha to all Muslim Ummah including Pakistanis abroad. This holy day teaches us a message of sacrifice, sharing and obedience to Allah Almighty. The Muslim Ummah must play a collective role in helping the poor and deserving.”

Eidul Azha is being celebrated in many countries of the world including Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries, United States of America, United Kingdom and many European other countries.
