Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Saturday approved the resignation of provincial health minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Kh Salman Rafiq has tendered his resignation to Punjab chief minister for personal reasons.

It is the second ministerial-level resignation in the ranks of the majority party in the current ruling coalition both at the federal and provincial level, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz as Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has also tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over personal reasons.

Both the ministers are from Lahore. Kh Salman Rafiq’s elder brother, Kh Saad Rafiq is also a Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation.
