Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat caused a stir online by unexpectedly encountering each other at a wedding and striking poses for photographers.
Both Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat are recognized for their straightforwardness. Following the release of their hit erotic thriller Murder in 2004, they exchanged unkind remarks about each other. However, they were recently seen unexpectedly crossing paths at a wedding and being photographed together. In an interview with News18, Emraan expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Mallika once again.
“We were young and stupid at that time. You go through a phase in your life when your decision-making power is so limited that and you’re just so impulsive. Some mean things were said by her and some by me. But those are all bygones. We kept all of that aside. It was long back. It was very nice seeing and meeting her. She was very warm and so was I. She’s a co-actor I wish I could have worked again with,” stated Emraan.
“It was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like in a long time. I had her a couple of times after the release of Murder,” he added, talking about bumping into her at producer Anant Pandit's daughter's wedding last month.
Anurag Basu's 2004 erotic thriller Murder marked the first major success for Emraan and Mallika. Their on-screen chemistry received high praise from fans. However, their relationship soured as they began publicly speaking negatively about each other. In 2014 on Koffee with Karan season 4, Emraan controversially labeled Mallika as a "bad kisser" and joked about gifting her a 'dummy's guide to learn English' as she pursued a Hollywood career at that time.
During season 3 of The Love Laugh Live Show in 2021, Mallika mentioned that her most amusing altercation was with Emraan Hashmi, either after or during the filming of Murder. They stopped communicating and she now considers it to have been quite juvenile. This disagreement occurred after the movie, possibly during promotional events, and resulted from a misunderstanding. She acknowledges that her behavior was unnecessary and equally immature. Emraan will soon appear in Showtime, while Mallika's most recent appearance was in Pambattam.
