A brawl among children claimed the lives of eight people in the Kharianawala area of Sheikhupura district, 24NewsHD reported on Saturday.

According to details, it is said that the children belonging to two groups of Jutt clan had a scuffle the previous day, which triggered this deadly episode.

On Saturday morning, the elders of the two rival sides clashed again during wheat harvesting. As a result, one of the groups led by Soli Jutt opened fire, killing eight and injuring two others.  The victims belonged to the Khadim Jutt group.

A father, wife and son were also among the dead, as some reports suggested that they had been killed at their house.

The relatives of the victims later set on fire the houses of the attackers.

Previously, several people were injured when the group used knives in a clash some days back.

The latest killings infuriated the victims’ families who attacked and torched the houses and other properties of the killers.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the deadly incident and sought a report from the Sheikhupura RPO.

Such tragic incidents are common in our country, especially in rural areas, where the rivals don’t hesitate eliminating the entire families over petty issues and for honour.
