The 8th Thal Desert Rally will start from 9th to 12th November, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has approved in this regard on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A meeting presided over by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the arrangements for organizing the Thal Desert Rally.

Police and other agencies have been entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the Thal Desert rally participants.
In the meeting, the CM was briefed that the 200-kilometre-long desert rally will be held in the Kot Addu and Layyah districts. The trophy ceremony of the Thal Desert Rally will be held today (November 8).
It was briefed that the Thal desert rally will start from the Chobara area of the Layyah area.
More than 100 amateur and professional drivers will participate in the Thal Desert Rally and women will also participate in the Thal Desert Rally.
Dirt bike and quad bike riders will also participate in the desert rally.
The 200 km long distance will be covered in one and a half hours at Thal Desert Rally.
There will be registration, medical check-ups and vehicle inspections of the participants of the Thal Desert Rally on November 9.
Jhomar, kabaddi, cultural show and fort stalls will also be installed in the Thal Desert Rally.
Puppet shows, magic shows, historical plays, Sufiana Kalam and Qawwali will also be performed in the events of the Thal Desert Rally.
Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Aamir Mir, Provincial Sports Adviser Wahab Riaz, Secretary Information, Tourism, DG Sports and related officials attended the meeting.
Commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan, RPO attended the meeting through video link.
