Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed concern over the exclusion of Pakistan’s name from the list of emerging economies.
In a statement, the PML-N leader said this demotion is proof that the nation is facing severe problems. It’s a disappointment that Pakistan has been removed from the list issued by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), he stated.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s name was included in the list of 20 states with emerging economies in Nawaz Sharif’s tenure. He added that in three years, the PTI snatched away Pakistan's grading as an investment-friendly country and its economic development.
This had endorsed the concerns voiced by the PML-N, he said adding that the international financial institutions had rejected the economic statistics of the PTI government.
