One suspect was arrested after two computers were stolen from the Supreme Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.


The Secretariat Police Station have registered a case on the complaint of Director IT Supreme Court about the theft of two computers.


After analyzing CCTV camera footage, movements of two apex court employees – Zahid Iqbal and Faisal Khan – were found to be suspicious.


Zahid Iqbal is the driver of secretary to chief justice of Pakistan while Faisal Khan is working as a Naib Qasid in the Supreme Court. 


The police registered the case on September 6 and have arrested Zahid Iqbal.


According to sources, the police were conducting raids to arrested other accused Faisal Khan, who had already been removed from his post in the Supreme Court once.


Faisal Khan was restored on his job after a departmental appeal, the sources in the Supreme Court said.


The apex court had bought the 131 computers from a private company in June and were placed in room number 306.
