Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has flayed the opposition parties for, what he called, joining hands against Prime Minister Imran Khan in a bid to protect themselves from the corruption cases being pursued by the ruling Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

“They (opposition parties) have formed an alliance and brought the no-confidence motion to the parliament in a desperate attempt to escape corruption cases,” the info minister told the media during a press conference.

Flanked by Energy Minister Hammad Azhar, Fawad Ch chided the opposition alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), for leaving no stone unturned to flee from accountability.

The information minister said he is going to be made law minister and he will pursue the corruption cases against opposition leaders.

He added the nation will not let the Prime Minister bow to such pressure as the people got to know that Imran Khan is the person who can put the country in the right direction.

The prime minister will continue ruling the country, he said claiming that the opposition parties have gone for character assassination of the PTI head Imran Khan and joined foreign forces for ousting the premier and even assassinating him.

The information minister said he is going to be made law minister and he said he pledged to pursue the corruption cases against opposition leaders.

Fawad Ch said Pervez Elahi will swear in as chief minister of Punjab and the dream of Shehbaz Sharif of becoming premier will be dashed.

Hamad Azhar, defending his government, listed the PTI feats in wake of coronavirus crisis and post-crisis achievements.

He shared with the media the economic achievements his party made in its rule, claiming that the poor economic situation the present government inherited the previous ones has been bettering.

The PTI’s economic policy helped the country control the circular debt and put Pakistan on track to better economy at the earliest, he said.

A puppet government is being formed with the help of foreign forces which always went for such tricks for personal gains, Hamad said and claimed such steps never serve the state as the people got to know about the notorious designs of the foreign forces.

“A bid to form a puppet regime is in the making. The people who lack the zeal of Imran Khan are out to make it, Hamad Azhar said, adding that Imran Khan’s soldiers will not let international puppets rule the country.

“Loans were paid. Circular debt has been controlled.  The government has been on drive to get paksitan remove from the FAFT grey list. The dream of having an economic grown state is coming true

He blamed the financial crisis on the previous government, saying that the loans and financing issues the present government inherited from the previous rulers are going to be overcome.

The energy minister said the international comity of nations have acknowledged Pakistan’s effort to get over financial crisis and social progress.

The PTI put the country in the right direction and the people of Pakistan knew the fact that they would not be made ashamed of their rulers act anymore, the minister maintained.
