In the wake of relentless snowfall, more than 100 schools in the upper regions of Swat have been temporarily closed, as announced by the Deputy Commissioner of Swat. The decision comes amidst severe weather conditions, including intense snowfall and heavy rain.
Deputy Commissioner Swat, in a statement, declared that government schools in areas such as Kalam, Asho, and others will remain closed until March 9 due to the adverse effects of the recent snowfall.
The decision was made in consideration of the extreme cold and the closure of roads, posing significant challenges for both teachers and students.
The heavy snowfall has led to a considerable drop in temperatures, causing intense cold conditions. With roads rendered impassable due to the snow accumulation, educators, and students alike are facing considerable difficulties in commuting to and from schools.
