Private invigilators have been relieved from duties with government school teachers at all examination centers across the city during the 9th grade Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) exams, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

As per details, the government school teachers are to be appointed on an emergency basis in place of private invigilators.

The educational boards have issued directives to the resident inspectors and superintendents to oversee the smooth transition of the new policy.

Moreover, duties were assigned to the government school teachers through calls.

The board official stated that the superintendents will ensure that students of the schools where invigilators are on duty do not take exams at the respective centers otherwise strict action under the Punjab Employees, Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability (PEDA) Act will be taken against teachers, who refuse to fulfill their duties.

Further, to enhance the security measures, teachers and students are required to submit their mobile IMEI numbers before the commencement of exams whereas any kind of violation of rules and regulations will not be tolerated in the examination centers.
