Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s lawyer Aftab Bajwa retracted his statement about “slow-poisoning” of the former prime minister within 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
“Imran Khan told us the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has been interfering with the matters. He told us he is not being given home-cooked meal,” he told the media.
“Imran Khan expressed the fear that he can be slow-poisoned. It was a misinterpretation on my part, for I could not understand his statement properly. I correct my statement,” he added.

On the other hand, another PTI chairman’s lawyer Shiraz Ahmed Ranjha said that there was no truth to Imran Khan being slowly poisoned.
He clarified that the PTI chairman was feared to be poisoned. “What Aftab Bajwa had said yesterday has been refuted. It was his fault in understanding Imran Khan’s statement,” Ranjha added.
“Two assassination attempts had been made against the PTI chairman. He is feared to be poisoned slowly,” he stated.
Earlier, the PTI chairman’s lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa also claimed that Imran Khan was being slowly poisoned in jail.
While talking to the media, Khosa claimed that slow poison was being administered to Imran in jail.
“We have serious reservations about the safety of Imran Khan and his health in jail,” he said.
