Eight members of a family including women and children were killed when two rival groups clashed in Jacobabad on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the police, the deadly clash, which sent shock and terror waves throughout the Dodapur area of Jacobabad, was due to the old enmity between the two rival groups.

Three children and a woman were among those killed and many injured in the bloody clash.

The groups involved were belonged to the Jalbani and Katohar communities. The armed men from Jalbani community attacked a house belonging to the Katohar community.

Panic has eclipsed the area after the gunbattle, while heavy contingents of the police have been deployed fearing reprisals from the Katohar community.
