The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced convening an all-party conference on the ongoing situation in the country.
The party made the announcement to convene the APC following the directives of Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan, said former KP CM Amir Haider Khan.
The ANP will convene the APC on May 3 in Islamabad, he added.
The ANP central council meeting will be held in Islamabad on May 2, he said, adding that the party has constituted a committee under Secretary General Mian Iftikhar Hussain on the matter.
All political parties and people of different schools of thought will be invited to the APC.
Reportedly, the ANP raised the demand for a stern punishment of the terror facilitators yesterday.
“Those who facilitated the militants must be dealt with the law of the land,” the report said Aimal Wali Khan as saying.
Ex-PM Imran Khan, President Dr Arif Alvi and key ruling figures must be asked on what conditions they had made a deal with the militants and facilitated them to resettle in Pakistan, the ANP leader added.
