National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf rejecting the leave request of Member National Assembly Muhammadmian Soomro has declared the seat vacant, reported 24News HD TV Channel Wednesday.

Veteran politician Soomro was elected from NA-196, Jacobabad as a member of Tehreek-e-Insaf member in 2018.

The seat of Mohammad Mian Soomro was declared vacant due to his continuous absence from the National Assembly House. On a notice, Soomro submitted a leave application but instead of accepting the request, Speaker Pervez Ashraf placed the matter in the House.

The Speaker took a plea that Soomro did not submit the request in time and the application was made on the lapse of time and not granted within forty days.
