Thousands seek paper rechecking after 9th class result announced in Lahore

Thousands of students submitted online applications for rechecking of their papers in Lahore Board as majority of the candidates failed in class nine exams, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to report, more than 150,000 candidates failed in the class nine examination under Lahore Board.

The highest number of children failed in the paper of History of Pakistan as the result was only 12.5 percent.

In Islamic history only 45 percent of student children could pass while 58 percent of students passed in General Math and 60 percent in General Science.

Moreover, 62 percent students passed in Chemistry and 63 percent in Mathematics.

Only 66 percent of students passed in Civics and 69 percent in Physics.

Candidates can apply for rechecking till August 24. However, paper rechecking fee has been increased to Rs1400.

Candidates will deposit the fee in the bank along with uploading the online application while candidates will be called through SMS in Lahore Board for paper rechecking.
