The Election Commission of Pakistan ECP has released the schedule for the delimitations of constituencies in Punjab for holding the local body elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

The process will be conducted from December 16 to January 6.

A preliminary list of the constituencies for LB polls in Punjab will be published on January 7 and objections to the preliminary constituencies can be filed from January 9 to January 23. 

According to the notification, the Election Commission will release the final list of constituencies on February 12.

It is pertinent to note that the Election Commission has decided to conduct polls in Punjab in the last week of April.

Moreover, the Election Commission is undertaking the process for the third time due to changes in the laws.
