Zulfi, Chinese envoy discuss safety of stranded Pakistanis

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari discussed safety of stranded Pakistani students in Chinese universities with Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing.
Special Assistant to PM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza was also present during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing on Monday.
They discussed in details the prevailing situation against the backdrop of Coronavirus outbreak and the efforts to overcome the menace.
The SAPM took up the issue provision of food and other facilities to Pakistanis stranded in Wuhan city and elsewhere in China.
Zulfi advised against visiting Wuhan
Zulifi Bukhari insisted on visiting Wuhan city personally to meet Pakistanis including the students. “We appreciate the special steps taken by Chinese government to fight and eradicate Coronavirus. We have a firm believe that Chinese national will emerge victorious against Coronavirus calamity.”
The SAMP also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Chinese, saying that Iron-brother stand tall in all sorts of situation.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing advised SAPM Zulfi Bukhari against visiting China these days.
He stressed that there is no need to worry about Pakistanis stranded in China as they are safe. All Pakistanis across Hubei province including Wuhan city, the epicenter of Coronavirus and elsewhere in China are being looked after.
The Chinese ambassador appreciates the support of the government and people of Pakistan for China at this testing moment.
Yao Jing said that comprehensive and specialized measures are being taken to stand against Coronavirus.
“We firmly believe that Coronavirus will be controlled soon and we will welcome the SAPM and other Pakistani officials in China”.
