Makeup artists have no respect in showbiz industry: Omayr Waqar

A young makeup artist Omayr Waqar in an interview with ‘Momina Mix Plate’ complained about the showbiz industry for not showing respect to makeup artists.

“Makeup artist has no respect in the industry,” said Waqar.

Waqar said the media sector does not value the role of a makeup artist. He added that a beauty specialist does not receive good budgets from the industry whereas other teams, such as producers, and actors were receiving attractive amounts.

The artist informed Momina that due to the lack of respect and importance, he has started to move towards local brides’ makeup as local brides give him respect and a handsome amount of money.

Pertinent to note that Omayr Waqar is a well-known makeup artist for celebrities.

He has been a part of numerous iconic shoots for very prominent personalities in the industry, including Mahira khan, Aiman Khan, Sanam Saeed and many others.

Previously, in a QNA session on Instagram, he bashed actress Sana Javed for being egoistic and rude towards fellow artists and makeup artists.
