‘It’s her foolishness’: Sonu Sood addresses long-standing feud with Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood star Sonu Sood, during a hearty chat with Shubhankar Mishra finally addressed a long-standing feud with fellow actress Kangna Ranaut which occurred after he exited the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, right after Kangana took over.

In case the readers are not aware, Kangana had claimed that Sonu’s decision to leave the film was because he refused to work under a female director. Sonu, however, dismissed these allegations, explaining that he left after seeing significant changes to his role in the film. Sonu shared lately: “I left Manikarnika also because Kangana is my friend. We are not on talking terms right now, but I have been very close with her family – her mother, father and sister meet me very lovingly. I have a rule in life that if I have ever been close to someone or friends with them, more or less, if I have a problem, I will never speak against them.”

Sonu told Shubhankar Mishra: “People can say whatever they want, but I will never say anything against them. I might feel upset thinking, ‘This person was a good friend and said such things’. I feel that it’s her foolishness, she is not a bad person. But sometimes, when you write or say things, you don’t actually think it through. I might have also gone through this and done things out of being naive. However, there is no regret. It’s her own thinking, I prefer not to pay heed by answering.”

In the same conversation, Sonu Sood was asked if he and Kangana ever met or spoke to each other after the fallout. To this, the actor responded by saying: “No, we have never even spoken to each other after Manikarnika. We even have a common friend, Ajay. He is close to both of us. He has tried to make us meet a couple of times, but I said it’s okay, let her be happy in her space.”
