Mohsin Naqvi lauds Pakistani nation for standing up against terrorists

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Saturday that the people of Pakistan as well as the country’s security forces had given innumerable sacrifices in the war against terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Speaking to the British High Commissioner in Pakistan Jane Marriott, who called on him in Islamabad, he said that not only the Pakistani nation stood up against the scourge of terrorism in the past, but was also giving sacrifices these days.

Naqvi said that the protection of lives and properties of the people living in the country was the government’s top priority. “No action has been taken against the foreigners living in the country having valid travel documents,” he said, adding however, action would be taken against those who did not have these documents with them.   

The minister said that Pakistan greatly valued its longstanding relations with the UK. 

Speaking on the occasion, Jane said her country wanted to further strengthen its ties with Pakistan in different sectors.
