Girl abducts fiancé for refusing to marry her

An Indian girl kidnapped her fiance at gunpoint while going to court a few days ago in Bijnor in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. She forcibly took him to a temple and brought a red gown along to get married.
In the night on Thursday last, police recovered the fiancé Ankur, a steno of a judge, while trying to get married. All three including the girl, her cousin and friend who helped her in kidnapping Ankur were arrested. The red gown and the pistol were also recovered.
Ankur, a resident of Amroha district, is a steno of Civil Judge Junior Division Chandpur (Bijnor). He lives with a house on rent in Chandpur itself. Ankur was kidnapped by car-riders on the Bijnor-Badayun highway on Thursday while going to court on a bike along with his clerk-friend Pradeep Kumar at quarter to ten in the morning. Police had recovered him from Najibabad late in the evening.

According to Bijnor’s SP Dinesh Singh Kem, the girl along with her cousin-brother and friend had hatched a conspiracy to kidnap Ankur. After kidnapping, he was taken to a temple. They were trying to get married forcibly, but the police reached the spot and arrested them with the help of geo-fencing of mobile phones.
The marriage was to take place on 25 May but the fiance had refused claiming the girl was not his type.
The arrested Ankul, Sumit and Priyanka told the police that together they all had conspired to kidnap the steno. Wanted to forcibly get Ankur married to Priyanka.
The accused told the police that steno Ankur’s marriage was fixed with Priyanka, a resident of Mandora village of Nurpur police station area. The engagement was done. The wedding was to take place on May 25. Both used to talk on mobile. One day there was an altercation between the two on mobile. After that Ankur refused to marry. Priyanka was adamant on getting married. Due to stubbornness, Priyanka carried out the abduction.
According to SP Dinesh Singh, police recovered two pistols and a red wedding gown from the accused. All three were produced in a court, they were sent to jail.
