Interior Ministry to implement new procedure for arrival and departure of Afghan citizens in Pakistan

The Ministry of Interior has decided to implement a new procedure related to the arrival and departure of Afghan citizens in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will take custody of Afghan refugees' POAs and ACC cards at the Torkham border while the VRF form will be received on voluntary return to Afghanistan and the grant will be received in Afghanistan on the form.
Moreover, FIA will detain and punch the cards of those Afghan nationals who will return to Afghanistan without UNHCR.
Cards taken into FIA custody will be permanently blocked by NADRA. Once a card is punched, or taken into FIA custody, it will not be returned.
Interior Ministry’s new mechanism aimed at streamlining the monitoring of Afghan citizens who wanted to visit Pakistan. The new program for Afghan citizens will be strictly followed.
