A court in Murree on Tuesday acquitted Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in an interfering state affairs case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A case was registered against him under FIR 47/23 at the Murree Police Station.

Advocate Muhammad Majid Noor Raja represented Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in the court who presented strong arguments before Magistrate Muhammad Zeeshan of the Murree court.

Raja's strong defense led to the court's decision to acquit Sheikh Rashid, clearing him of all charges related to the case.
