Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that JUI-F has rejected the National Assembly budget session violating rules and regulations.
The JUI-F will not accept this decision of the speaker, he said.
He was addressing a media conference on Wednesday after convening Central Working Committee of JUI-F.
“The country is financially bankrupt and has been facing difficulty in formulating the budget,” the Maulana said.
He said, “For the first time in history, all the rules regarding the budget meeting have been suspended. A limited number of members are being allowed to sit in the House that will be heard only in the committee room. What kind of policy is this? We will not accept the decision to call a budget meeting by suspending such rules.”
Maulana Fazl said, “Thousands of rupees are being taken on the basis of tests. Even today, the daily mortality rate of 220 million people is four to 4.5 percent.”
“This strange situation will weaken the immune system and will not be able to fight the epidemic,” the JUI-F leader said.
He said that the JUI-F has demanded that Chaman border would also be opened like Torkham for trade activities.
Fazl said that he was holding a press conference in Islamabad after a long time due to coronavirus.
He said the JUI-F has launched political activities on a limited scale. “It is clear that the government has disqualified itself on the basis of its failed performance in economic policies, international relations, unemployment or the Covid-19 situation,” the JUI-F chief said.
He said the JUI-F supported the overseas Pakistanis’ demands so they could be facilitated by the government.
Similarly, those universities who have collected the dues from students must continue their academic activities.
Separately, JUI-F leader Rehmat Salam said Maulana Fazlur Rehman is the only political figure who has the ability to lead the country out of political and economic crises. “The JUI-F leader is the real opposition in the current political scenario of the country,” he said.
