The Hajj flight operation from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia has been completed as the last flight of Saudi Airlines took off with 380 Pakistani pilgrims on Monday.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain appreciated the success of the flight operation before Hajj, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs said the successful operation is the result of the tireless efforts of the ministry.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain said Hajj is a sacred duty for Muslims all over the world. He added that efforts would continue to ensure all facilities for Hajj pilgrims.
According to the channel, a total of 160,000 Pakistani pilgrims are going to perform Hajj this year.
The religious ministry said the Pakistan Hajj Mission hosted 70,000 government-sponsored pilgrims, while around 90,000 Pakistanis are performing Hajj through private tour operators this year.
The Hajj operation continued from May 9 to June 10 and the post-Hajj operation will begin from June 20 to July 21 this year.
On the first day of the pre-Hajj operation, flights departed from different cities of the country, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar, on May 9.
Through the PIA flights on the first day of the pre-Hajj operation, more than a thousand pilgrims departed for Saudi Arabia using Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 planes from Pakistan.
